Salem's Riverfront Carousel is a nonprofit tourist/visitor gathering place, ride attraction, and world-renowned woodcarving artist enclave that resides along the banks of the Willamette River in vibrant downtown Salem Oregon. We strive to inspire joyful celebration of the creative imagination for people of all ages, and the child at heart in all of us. Our year round focus is on promoting activities and events that are geared toward volunteerism, family-fun, culture, education, outreach and showcasing the diversity of our community. Open daily. |Description:||We invite you and your student body to help us provide volunteer support for family-fun activities during one of our annual Signature events, Scarousel Bash, a Halloween party of sorts, on Saturday, October 28th. Volunteers engage with the public at typically table/area stations that may include: food craft, art craft, games, face painting, door prizes, greeters, Ride Operation extra, as well as set up beforehand, and tear down afterward.
This is one of our most popular event and expected attendance is 250+ people, rain or shine.
Volunteers would be required to help from 3:30pm to 7:30p (a 4 hour shift).
We're looking for energetic, outgoing individuals who can think on their feet and manage a fast pace.
Non scary costumes are encouraged (keep in mind, most of our clientele are pre-K aged children)
Free Ride will be provided at the end of the event, as part of your reward and our heartfelt thanks!
A Volunteer reporting and credit for the service hours will be given, upon request.
