Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) are trained volunteers appointed by the Tribal Court to advocate for the best interests of children who are wards of the Tribal Court due to abuse or neglect. CASAs are a part of the judicial proceedings and represent to the Court the child’s best interests. As a CASA, you will conduct a complete and intensive independent review of the case, advocate for the child's best interests in court, act as a facilitator among parties, monitor implementaiton of service plans, and moniotor the child's cultural development.
We are always seeking CASAs as children become wards of the Court on an ongoing basis.
