Why: Join Friends of Trees and the City of Salem in Cascades Gateway Park to increase tree canopy near the Blue Gill picnic area. This event is supported by the City of Salem. We'll be planting hundreds of native trees and shrubs to green this well-loved park -- and your help is what makes this community planting possible! RSVPs kindly requested.
Please arrive by 8:45am to sign-in and enjoy some breakfast treats and coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. The planting starts promptly at 9:00am. We provide gloves, tools, and guidance, so all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes or boots – and be ready to have fun!
How do I register? All individuals and groups are kindly asked to RSVP to save your spot(s) by filling out our quick Registration Form. Registration is highly recommended but not required.
