Description:
The Oregon State Library has a variety of volunteer needs:
Cassette Machine Cleaning Volunteers (once per week for 2 hours with a 3-6 month commitment) to clean returned cassette players for the Talking Book and Braille Services;
Book and Document Mender Volunteer (once per week for 2 hours with a 6 month commitment) to repair damaged library materials in the collection;
Book Inspection Volunteers (once per week for 2 hours with a 6 month commitment) to assist the Circulation staff in the inspection of returned Talking Book cassettes for the Talking Book and Braille Services; and
Genealogy Information Assistant Volunteers (once per week for 3 or 4 hours) to assist patrons in researching family history using databases, microfilm, and printed resources.
